Unusual times – and these certainly qualify as unusual times – require unusual measures and,

like the rest of the world, Pasadena City College Athletics is presently in the unusual situation

of having to conduct its business from a distance.
 
Our PCC Students, Teachers, Administration, Counselors, Staff, Coaches and Athletes have been

working tirelessly to keep PCC safe and keep our students connected to their educational goals.

Zoom meetings are now a staple and we are always looking for new ways to keep our sense

of community going!
 
Now, the PCC Athletic teams are planning an exciting virtual event for Lancer fans in June.

It's the Run PCC Virtual 5K,

set to take place on Friday, June 12, Saturday, June 13, or Sunday June 14

– a virtual race that can be completed at your own convenience.
 
No crowds. No traffic. No parking. No long lines to the restrooms and, most importantly, no 6 a.m. alarms!
 
You can do the race inside your home on the treadmill or you can go outside and practice safe

social distancing by walking, jogging or running your own route.

The virtual race is just 3.1 miles and each participant who signs up before June 2nd

will receive a RUN PCC t-shirt in the mail.
 
It costs only $30 for kids and students, $40 for adults to register

with your registration fee benefitting PCC student-athletes.

The PCC Foundation will continue to accept registrants after the June 2 date as well.

Once Lancer fans have completed their virtual race, they are encouraged to post photos and

results on social media by using the hashtag #PCCVirtual5k or by tweeting to @PCCAthletics

for an opportunity to win some great prizes!
